Oh my giddy aunt. Put this sale on your estate sale map for this weekend. Seriously. I’m not kidding.
When: Friday, September 18: 9-5 Saturday, September 19: 9-5
Where: 3313 N. Preston Dr. Oklahoma City
This sale sums up why we all love going to estate sales. It has something for everyone. Vintage to current military uniforms, memorabilia, and original art; the always classic Franciscan Desert Rose dishes; a plethora of new and hardly used Vera Bradley bags; a classic Bernina (yes! Bernina!) sewing machine; and a fantastic wrought iron patio set…just to name only a few of the items in this VERY packed house. We are spanning the ages with this one. Antique, mid-century, and current treasures…this house is absolutely brimming with treasures!
Let’s just start in the kitchen while I gather my composure, shall we?
This isn’t the new limited-use Correll. Nope, this is the stove to oven to freezer Correl. And the blue cornflower, of course.
Beautiful white dishes with stylish stemware and green glassware.
Now, we all measure estate sales by the “Look what I found!” factor, right? Well, get ready to gasp…
Yes, you are gazing upon a sea of Franciscan Desert Rose. I’ll give you a moment.
Needless to say, if you’ve always wanted to start a Franciscan Desert Rose collection, this is your chance.
This baby puts your collection over the top.
I’ll give you another moment.
And if pink flowers aren’t your thing (really?), then we also have a plethora of Metlox’s 1960s Poppy Trail Red Rooster and matching Red dishware.
I wasn’t overselling it when I said “plethora”.
The famous Metlox Rooster.
There are countless pieces of beautiful glassware and silver.
And, if you’re a fan of cardinals, we’ve got you covered.
And for you guys, we’ve got a very (and I mean VERY) packed garage.
Tools, vintage (in great shape) duck decoys, military footlockers, fishing gear…etc.
A very large room-size piece of carpet. Neutral color, in great shape. Yea, it’s kinda in the middle of the garage. Watch your step!
Great tool box for your truck. The tire optional.
We also have lawn equipment that is not pictured.
Speaking of backyards, how about a nice wrought iron table set? These babies are all the rage these days!
Heavy, and in great shape! Just a coat of paint in any color (OSU orange??) and this set will be the talk of your backyard. Did I mention they are heavy?
Another great chair just begging for a makeover.
Vintage wash basins.
I’d love to have a bird bath, but it would just end up being a buffet for my cat.
Sturdy, metal trellises.
There are no less than 150 geological maps dating from the mid 60’s to 2005. That’s a lot of maps! And, because we have so many maps at this estate, there is also this great metal map cabinet.
Only a teeny tiny sampling of the maps you’ll find.
For vintage to mid-century outdoor activities…
There are a bunch of his duck buddies in that burlap bag.
The office is packed with, well, office stuff. Oh, and several file cabinets and two drafting tables and lots of office chairs of various shapes and sizes!

In case all this aviator stuff is making you feel a bit queasy.

Forgive the glare.
The following aviation pictures are part of a complete set of prints.
Here is a quick peek at just some of the furniture.
This piece is simply stunning.

Another great love seat
OK, before you dismiss her, this chair has great bones and is completely worth reupholstering. If you don’t nab her, I will.
Calling all you furniture repurposers. Here is your next project.

Two twin head and foot boards, large dresser, mirror and two night stands. Gorgeous!

There is an adorable smaller armoire behind all that decor.
Yes, that is an antique commode.
Antique Singer sewing machine.
Speaking of sewing machines. Here’s the find of the day (after the Franciscan Rose, of course).
Bernina. Solid, Swiss. Amazing.
This, sewers, is the find of the day. A Bernina 801 Sport. I’ve opened her up and she’s clean as clean can get. She needs to be oiled, but I’ve sewn with her and, well…its a Bernina. What do you expect? Solid metal, so it’s quite heavy…
…yet it’s quite compact.
It even still has all it’s original gizmos!
That’s a lot of feet! And you can still get parts for this machine! Seriously, if you need a machine, this is the one to get.
We also have lots of great vintage items.
OK, so he recanted nearly everything he wrote in this parenting how-to book. But, hey, he’s Vulcan, so…
Tons of decor, craft, and holiday items.
Precious antique carved ducks.
Sewing notions for that Bernina
Tons (Yes, tons) of seasonal decor.
Lots of wall art.
And ladies, we have Vera Bradley. Yep. Gobs of it.
And vintage hats!
And clothes. Lots and lots of Talbots, Coldwater Creek, and Liz.
And check out these beautiful dresses!
And we have shoes.
And more purses.
We also have clothes for the guys along with these great hats.
Gorgeous Stetson hat in like-new condition.
And, of course, we have to have our Marcia Brady moment…
A very Brady-era young lady’s dress.
Can you just see Jan in her glasses and those long curls by her face? “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. It’s always about Marcia!”
And let’s not forget about Cindy. This looks just like something she’d wear. It’s darling.
And, of course, we have lots of jewelry and miscellaneous pins.
As usual, this is only a sample of the wonderful items in this estate. We also have books, lawn items, more furniture, rugs, lamps…I could go on and on. The house is packed, so, again, please no strollers or big bags. Space is at a premium.
We look forward to seeing you!
