812 East Drive, Edmond
Friday, October 31: 9-5 Saturday, November 1: 9-5 Sunday, November 2: 1-4
**Note: This sale is jam-packed and space is extremely limited. We will be handing out numbers by 8:30 and allowing a limited number into the estate until the crowd thins. We like the mad rush as much as the next guy but, chaos…not so much.
This estate has the quintessential mid-century Edmond vibe. If you’re from Edmond and your waxing nostalgic about “Back when…”, you won’t want to miss this sale.
Without further adieu, the pictures, with the occasional “Back when…” theme:
Let’s start with the kitchen.
Back when your mixer was rectangular. Wait…what…?
Oops, I almost forgot the chairs.
Here’s another piece of furniture that I’m especially partial to.
And here’s a peek at some more furniture.
These orange tables have those great metal/porcelain tops. We found these in the attic!
Now, before you dismiss this next chair hear me out. This is a 1960’s Kroehler Avant Designs chair. Still don’t care? Well, they are all the rage right now on Etsy, Houzz, and Cherish. Yep, they are kinda the “thing” for people in the retro know. And, well, we got one.
And, because those mid-century folks like to take care of their linens, we have a cedar armoire and several cedar hope chests.
Remember the Lane cedar chests? Remember their advertisements?
Anyway, we’ve got a couple. And they are quite nice.
And we have this great dresser set. So unique.
Embarrassing true confession: I neglected to get a better picture of this antique bed so you are getting the picture that shows the room pre-organized. Ignore the mess and feast your eyes on the foot board of that bed! Truly, the wood is beautiful and the craftsmanship is amazing. This picture does not do it justice.
And there is more furniture that I neglected to get pictures of: Mid-century Ethan Allen sleeper sofa, chairs, book cases…what can I say?
For you doll collectors we’ve got quite the selection. Here are just a few.
We even have a couple American Girl dolls!
And this darling Angela Sutter doll.
And, speaking of dolls and vintage things.
And vintage baby and doll clothes.
There is collegiate spirit galore.
But this sale is about Edmond, right?
FYI: The following pictures of the annuals are on the Ethan Allen couch, of which I forgot to get a picture.
And while we are on the subject of vintage…
Maps and tourist pamphlets from across the country. All from the 40s-60s. What a blast from the past!
Very cool collectible money.
Here is a glimpse of the art that we have.
The office is wall-to-wall books. Plus such office items as bundles of pens and highlighters (absolutely tons), file folders, file cabinets, shelves, plastic storage drawers, journals, and other office miscellany. I’d love to show it to you, but this is another picture that was neglected.
Of course we have electronics.
Oh, and we have this iMac g5
And even some electronic oldies.
Back when we wrote letters…and received letters.
And in the garage…
Tons of books on tape and CDs.
This is a wall of tapes and CDs from The Great Courses. American History, Literature, Old Testament, WW II, and more. Fabulous resources.
Here are some up close pictures of the amazing selection from The Great Courses. Click on the pictures to better see the titles.
As usual, there is tons more. And I do mean tons. This is a great sale that you won’t want to miss.
See you there!
